This award has been generously funded
by Deborah L. Faiman to sponsor a full-time resident and/or fellow
at a scientific conference in the field of kidney transplantation
and/or surgery.
Specifically, the award will defray the travel costs, up to $2,000, for any full-time resident or fellow working in the field of kidney transplantation in attending and presenting scientific and/or medical research at a scientific meeting or conference that is held in the United States. Any full-time resident or fellow working in the field of transplant nephrology and surgery at University of California, San Francisco is eligible to apply. Applicants may be working on topics as they relate to basic or applied clinical research in the area of kidney disease, transplant and/or surgery.
By funding travel to scientific conferences and meetings, The Deborah L. Faiman Kidney Transplant Research Young Investigator's Travel Award will help to foster an environment of support and growth for our residents and fellows, as well as advancing kidney and transplantation medicine.
