  • Dr. Deborah Adey is a Professor of Medicine. She is a transplant nephrologist with the Connie Frank Transplant Center. She has over 20 years experience in the field of transplantation,

    Dr. Adey is interested in education and been involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

    Dr. Adey has been involved in several clinical trials and has interest in infectious diseases related to transplantation. She was an NIH CO-Princiipal Investigator in a trial of treatment of BK nephropathy. Her other research interest is in the field of anti-HLA antibodies, both prior to and after transplantation.

    Dr. Adey is actively involved in the American Society of Transplantation (AST) and has served on several committees as well as serving as Chair for several committees and communities of practice. The include the Membership Committee, the Accreditation Committee for the training of transplant nephrology, as well as the Womens Health Community of Practice. In addition she serves on the Board of Managers for the Transplant Nephrology Training Accreditation Program for the AST.
